Day 5: Five More Items Donated, Boys’ Room and Closet Decluttering Complete

After another Decluttering session on the landing, where all the clothes from the boys’ room was staged during the cleaning process, the project is truly complete.

It’s done! View of the landing from the boys’ room.

Results: A clean landing and one large bag of garbage, one large bag for the consignment store, and one bag for donations. There were a couple bags of clothes I decided to save for younger siblings for now, and those went into storage.

Donations, consignment bag, and large garbage bag.

It’s finally clean and clear and a delight to be up here and in my sons’ room.

Before and after of the landing where I sorted out all the clothing from the boys’ room over the past few days. A huge relief to have the space clear again!

The minimalism challenge has been a very easy way to start my family’s Decluttering Adventure. The five items I purged for today, the fifth day for the challenge, were 5+ clothing items from the landing for donation.

With this big project complete, I’ll have to pick something new for tomorrow to focus on.
